Acura Dental Clinic ("we", "us", "the Clinic") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable Indian law. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity & contact details: name, mobile/WhatsApp number, email, age, sex.
- Appointment details: preferred treatment, branch, date/time, and any notes you provide.
- Health information you choose to share for treatment: chief complaint, medical conditions, allergies, current medications, pregnancy/nursing status, habits, and dental history (collected via our patient intake form).
- Feedback you submit about your visit.
We collect this data directly from you, with your consent, when you book an appointment, fill the intake form, submit feedback, or contact us.
Why we use it
To schedule and provide dental care; to maintain your treatment records; to contact you about appointments, reminders and follow-ups; to respond to your queries; and to meet legal and record-keeping obligations. Health data is used only for your clinical care by the treating dentist and authorised clinic staff.
Legal basis
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent and for the provision of the dental services you request. You may withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect care already provided or records we must retain by law).
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising. We share it only with our treating dentist and authorised clinic staff, and with service providers who help us operate the clinic portal and communications (e.g. secure hosting and messaging) under appropriate confidentiality safeguards, or where required by law.
Storage & security
Your data is stored on secured, access-controlled systems with role-based access and encryption in transit. We retain personal and treatment records only for as long as needed for your care and as required by applicable law, after which they are securely deleted or anonymised.
Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)
You may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure where applicable, and you may withdraw consent or raise a grievance. To exercise these rights, contact our Grievance Officer.

For patients under 18, we collect and process data only with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian.
